Yvan Lamothe is a self-taught, multifaceted Haitian-African-American artist based in New England.
As he began his journey into oil painting, Yvan soon perfected seascapes, patiently learning by spending hours watching the ocean waves off the coasts of Maine and New Hampshire.
Depicting life in Haiti is where Yvan developed an eye for classical, realistic paintings of people who crossed paths with a youthful Yvan growing up in Port-au-Prince.
This is also where the seeds of infinite curiosity were planted about life, death, and whether meaning exists for all, leading him to explore complex themes in a contemporary manner.
From the meaning of Infinity to the Seeds of personality, Yvan's hand would paint his interpretation to share with all of humanity.
