Two of my daughters posed for this painting when they were around 9. They are combing a rocky portion of a beach for treasures. Rachelle is holding a chain with a cross, Maria is holding the flashlight. Today Maria is an endocrinologist and Rachelle holds an MBA degree. The night sky is what I grew up with in Haiti. It literally seemed like you could travel by starlight alone.
